Interesting news about NCSoft:

Massive Inc. will be providing dynamic in-game ads for the North American and European versions of NCsoft's upcoming vehicular combat MMO, Auto Assault.

NCsoft will join over 34 other publishers and developers that have partnered with Massive for in-game ad support. Auto Assault will be added to Massive's lineup of over 100 games that the company services.

“We’ve been interested in the concept of in-game advertising for a long time, but only wanted to do it when it made sense for the product and enhanced the game world for our players,” said Dorothy Ferguson, VP of sales and marketing for NCsoft North America. “This is a great fit for Auto Assault. Massive understands games and has the most seamless and sophisticated process for integrating ads that fit within the game environment.

Auto Assault is being developed by Colorado-based developer NetDevil. The game will join NCsoft's roster of popular MMOs including City of Heroes, City of Villains and Guild Wars.

I saw the trailer for that game. Didn't look that great, and the plot was one of the worst ive ever heard...

if they do that in an MMO and cut the monthly fees, i'm all for it.

but auto-assault.....that game barely looks half-decent.
